 2009 Summer Social & Evaluation Contest, August 1, 2009
The 2009 summer club social and Evaluation Contest was held our in the Parr Library, 6200 Windhaven Parkway on August 1. As a social event, the program included a potluck lunch followed by an Evaluation Contest. Bud Abesingha won the Evaluation Contest, and will represent our club to compete in Area 64 Humorous Speech & Evaluation Contests on Friday, September 11.

The Humorous Speech Contest in our club will take place at the Parr Library on Saturday, August 15. All are invited to join us as we learn and enjoy more about Plano West Toasters. 

2008 Kick-Off Party, Club Winter Social on Jan. 19th

Another great year for Plano West Toasters! Continuing the honor of the President's Distinguished Club, our 2008 Kick-Off and Winter Social event was held on Janurary 19th, at the Carpenter Recreation Center, 6701 Coit Road, Plano TX 75024.
As usual in a social event, the programs will include a multi-cultural potluck lunch at 1:30, an Evaluation Contest, followed by entertainment and games. Please comeand join us for the fun! Family and friends are all invited! 

Plano West Toasters becomes President's Distinguished Club!
Ending the 2006-2007 terms on June 30th, Plano West Toasters has met nine of the ten performance goals, and formally recognized as a President's Distinguished Club by Toastmasters International. Way to go, Plano West Toasters!

Two Club Officers names Area Governors for District 50
Having successfully serviced club leadership roles in the recent past, two former Club Presidents, have moved on to accept new challenges. Starting July 2007, Mark Lucido and Gregg Jaglinski will begin their 12-months tour of duty as Area Governors in District 50.

2007 Spring Club Picnic Held in Coyote Creek Park on April 7th
Having fun is part of the game in Toastmasters! A few times a year, Plano West Toaster organizes club socials where family and friends are invited to participate. Our Spring Club Social was held on April 7th in the Coyote Creek Park, adjacent to the Christopher Parr Library. In addition to Barbeque picnic and social, it was also an out-door club meeting, where three prepared speeches were presented! Several guests joined the fellowship and had a great time.

2007 Kick-Off Party Held at Plano Recreation Center on Jan. 20th
Plano West Toasters winter social event, the "2007 Kick-Off Party" were held at the Plano Recreation Center at Coit Road on January 20th. The multi-function event for club members, families and friends consisted a potluck dinner, a white-elephant gift exchange, a Speech Contest, and a Toastmasters Jeopardy game. Club President Mark Lucido delivered his "inaugural speech" at the meeting.
Mark indicated that with Gregg's leadership team, our club had achieved the Distinguished Club status as of November 2006. Our goal for the next six months is to reach three more performance milestones and become a President's Distinguished Club.
